We begin by remembering our martyrs, who have died in the last 32 years fighting for peace, freedom and justice, fighting for a country and a world fit for human beings to live in. We also remember our martyrs who have died since April 15 in the bloody war raging in Sudan.

Greetings and solidarity everyone!
Greetings to our siblings across the country and the world who fight every day to end capitalism and its war machine!
Greetings to the workers and revolutionaries here from the countries and regions who are suffering like we are, to our friends and comrades from Afghanistan, from Tigray, Kurdistan, Congo, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Palestine and everywhere else devastated by war, capitalism, imperialism… by the greed of the arms industry, and by the dictators and the occupiers!
Greetings to all the refugees with us here today from Sudan and from around the world; we salute you and pay respect to you as so many of our own families flee in search for safety!
Greetings to the fierce feminists with us today who know that the price of war is always paid by women and children!
Greetings to our allies in the anti-war movements across Germany, Europe and the world!
Most of all, greetings to our comrades in Sudan and at its borders, we want you to know that you are NOT alone!
**** We, Sudanese activists, students, refugees, and workers in Germany, are here today to call on the anti-war alliances and refugees movements, on the forces of the revolutionary left in Germany and all over the world, to lift up our call to STOP THE WAR IN SUDAN!
Sudanese workers are, as we speak, facing a horrific situation. A deadly conflict began on the morning of April 15, 2023, as a power struggle between the Sudanese military and the Janjaweed Rapid Support Forces militias exploded into war. Between them they own most of the economy in Sudan, with patron countries outside the country being fed our resources and the fruits of the blood, sweat and tears of our people . Other militias and elements of the security apparatus of the former dictator, al-Bashir, are also involved in the war. Both the Military and the RSF committed genocide and war crimes in Darfur and other regions of the country, and they have killed hundreds of protesters since our revolution began in December 2022. We all know that this current war is also a counter-revolutionary attempt by the Islamist-military regime to return to power and to extinguish the democratic flame that burns brightly in Sudan…
We say no to dictatorship and no to this war!
Since April 15, many hundreds of people have been killed, and thousands more injured, in Khartoum, Al-Jenaina, El-Obeid, El-Fasher, Merowe, Nyala and in other cities and towns. Since the fighting is taking place in the middle of densely populated residential areas, the extent of the damage is devastating. Homes, schools, roads, and medical facilities have been shelled. Food and water is running out. Tens of thousands are fleeing for the borders, unsure of whether they will reach safety. Thousands who were already displaced by the regime’s land grabs, looting and wars are on the road again, looking for the safety that every human being deserves.
Regional and international powers backing the two parties in the conflict are for the most part allies, or do business, with the European Union. Just a week ago, we found out that the Greek government sells surveillance equipment to the brutal military in Sudan. The Italian government cooperates with the genocidal RSF militia to suppress migrant movement. The German government and the EU cut deals with our former dictator al-Bashir to extend Europe’s shameful borders to Sudan. They still see us as merely a zone to be contained and exploited. For capitalists in Europe, war in our country is profitable: they advance their economic and geostrategic interests on the bodies of our people, turning our country into rubble.
THIS MUST STOP! Sudanese workers and peasants, who come from the most subjugated part of the planet; who have experienced decades of state repression, of the looting of our gold and oil, of the plunder of our land to feed the greed of capitalists and war profiteers, have called for a broad alliance with the following immediate demands:
STOP THE WAR IN SUDAN!
HUMANITARIAN CORRIDORS & SAFE ROUTES NOW!
OPEN BORDERS FOR REFUGEES FLEEING!
SOLIDARITY WITH THE SUDANESE REVOLUTION!
We repeat the slogan that the Sudanese have long taken to the streets across our homeland:
"The revolution is a people's revolution, and power is the power of the people; the military returns to the barracks, and the Janjaweed to be disbanded!"
